For over fifty years, St. Mary’s Residential Training School has lovingly cared for children and young adults with severe and profound developmental disabilities. In recent years, St. Mary’s has become nationally recognized for their programs and services for the effective care and treatment of autism – the world’s fastest growing developmental disability. 

 

St. Mary’s specialized programs such as the extensive services for children with autism and capital improvements are supported through the generosity of individuals, organizations and foundations. The Challenge Walk/Run is the largest annual fund raising event for St. Mary’s.

 

The fifth annual St. Mary’s Challenge Walk/Run will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Downtown Alexandria Riverfront Amphitheater. Registration will be held from 8:00a.m. – 9:00a.m. The 5K run will begin at 9:00am., followed by the 1 mile walk.
